H&M Holiday 2026: Jazz Age Glamour for the Party Season

Fringe that swings, velvet that glows and slip dresses made for midnight. H&M’s Holiday 2026 collection takes the party season back to 1920s Paris – and brings it home with a modern noir edge.

Every winter there’s one collection that makes you want to say yes to every invitation. This year, it might well be H&M’s. Landing on 5 November in select stores and online at hm.com, Holiday 2026 turns back the clock to an era of romance, poetry and after-dark elegance, with the Jazz Age of 1920s Paris as its muse.

Across womenswear, menswear and kidswear, the message is the same: dress for the magic of the season, wherever it happens to take you.

Midnight in Paris

Womenswear begins with a walk through Paris after dark – streets glowing beneath scattered lights, every corner hinting at quiet mystery. From that mood comes a collection of soft romance and vintage allure, sharpened with a modern noir edge. It’s confident and effortlessly elegant, with softness and sharpness in equal measure.

Light, then shade

The Jazz Age shows itself in the shapes. Volumes are generous and easy, fabrics are sheer and draping is fluid, giving every piece a lightness that feels almost intimate. Then come the richer textures – brocade, velvet and satin – adding a quieter kind of strength.

Deco detailing runs through the whole collection, with embellishment designed to catch the light like jewels at midnight.

From black to gold

The palette moves from inky black through warm bronze and gold into soft ivory and cream – a colour story that works as well for a candlelit dinner as it does for New Year’s Eve.

Fringed evening tops, fluid trousers and slip dresses in metallic and lace fabrics are finished with tasselled bags and statement drop earrings. Sleek dresses come either hand-embroidered with delicate florals or swinging with fringe, while softer, more fluid matching sets are there for anyone who would rather glide than sparkle.

Romance with an edge

For Eliana Masgalos Duarte, Womenswear Design Director at H&M, the season is about “romance with an edge”. “We took the softness of vintage glamour and gave it a modern spin – sheer layers next to structured tailoring, delicate embroidery against rich fabrics,” she explains.

The result, she says, is “dressing for a celebration that doesn’t take itself too seriously, but still means every word”. In other words: clothes to have fun in, that still look like you made an effort.

Tailoring, taken outdoors

Menswear swaps Parisian nightlife for modern sartorialism with an outdoor edge. Statement outerwear leads the way, from belted wool coats to shearling and leather jackets, set against tailored double-breasted suits, flocked denim and elevated knitwear.

Premium fabrics and rich winter neutrals, with the occasional flash of colour, give the whole edit a confident, high-impact ease.

A classic family Christmas

Kidswear leans into heritage and nostalgia. Preppy tailoring, tartan and cable knits meet more romantic party pieces in deep burgundy – think tulle skirts, Fair Isle jumpers and velvet dresses.

The palette is warm and familiar, echoing the comfort of a classic family Christmas (and making those matching family photos rather easy to plan).

Taken together, the Holiday collection is an ode to romance in all its forms – an invitation to dress up, step out and make the most of the season.

Get the look

  1. Play soft against sharp. Pair a sheer or lace top with structured tailoring, or throw a sharp coat over something fluid.
  2. Let one piece do the talking. If you’re wearing fringe or embellishment, keep everything else simple and let it move.
  3. Go warm with your metallics. Bronze and gold glow in candlelight; ground them with black for evening, or ivory for something softer.
  4. Save the drama for the details. A tasselled bag and statement drop earrings turn a simple slip dress into a full evening look.
  5. Dress for a real British winter. A long wool coat over a slip dress gets you to the party and home again in style.
