If you have ever left a GP appointment with a diagnosis but no real plan, you will understand where MyOva comes from. It’s a UK range of supplements for hormonal health, and it was created by a woman who spent years looking for answers about her own body.
Meet Leila
Leila Martyn was diagnosed with PCOS at 19. She was told she might never have children and was sent home without much in the way of support.
Years later, when she and her partner began trying for a family, she went through six miscarriages, including the loss of a baby at 18 weeks. Tests offered no explanation. Feeling unheard and increasingly isolated, Leila started reading the research herself, looking at the links between PCOS, insulin resistance and egg quality.
That reading led her to myo-inositol, a compound that occurs naturally in the body and in foods such as fruit, beans, grains and nuts. It has been widely studied in women with PCOS, yet at the time it was hard to find in the UK in a simple, consistent form. So Leila created one.
That first product became MyOva. A decade on, the brand has more than 50,000 customers and has won Hip & Healthy’s Best Pregnancy Supplement and Best Hormonal Health Supplement awards. It was the first PCOS brand to be sold on the high street and in Boots. And Leila is now mum to two boys.

What makes the range different
MyOva’s supplements are formulated by nutritionists and made in the UK, and the range is vegan friendly and non-GMO. Most of the formulas are built around myo-inositol. Each one pairs it with vitamins, minerals or botanicals chosen for a particular stage of life or set of symptoms. The brand works with registered dietitian Jodie Relf, who has PCOS herself.
Here’s a look at the range and who each product is designed for.
Myoplus: the original
£32 | 120 tablets
Myoplus is the formula that started it all and remains MyOva’s bestseller. It combines 4,000mg of myo-inositol with folate, chromium and vitamin B6. Vitamin B6 contributes to the regulation of hormonal activity, and chromium contributes to the maintenance of normal blood glucose levels.
If you struggle with capsules, the tablets can be chewed or crushed. It’s designed for women with PCOS.
Preconception: for when you’re planning a family
£36
Preconception is an all-in-one myo-inositol and B6 complex for women getting their bodies ready for pregnancy, including women with PCOS. It’s the product Leila is most closely associated with, given her own journey. If you’re already taking prenatal vitamins, check the folic acid content so you don’t double up.
Metabolism: blood sugar support
£36 | capsules
Metabolism combines 2,000mg of myo-inositol with chromium, which contributes to the maintenance of normal blood glucose levels and normal macronutrient metabolism. Blood sugar is a common concern for women with PCOS, including those who are a healthy weight.
Balance: energy and mood
£36 | capsules
Balance pairs 2,000mg of myo-inositol with vitamin B6 and ashwagandha, an adaptogenic herb traditionally used to help the body cope with stress. Vitamin B6 contributes to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue and to normal psychological function. It’s for women whose PCOS shows up as low energy and mood swings as much as cycle problems.
Beyond PCOS
In recent years the range has widened to support other hormonal conditions and life stages:
Male Fertility, because conception involves two people, also available in a His & Hers bundle
Cycle Support (£36), a gentle botanical and nutrient formula for women looking for natural PMDD support, made without stimulants or unnecessary fillers
Endoplus (£36), a vegan supplement with botanicals and vitamin B6, designed for women living with endometriosis
Hormone Balance (£36), a plant-based daily supplement for the emotional ups and downs of hormonal change, suitable for all women
Menoplus, for the menopause transition
Pregnancy, Hair, Skin & Nails and a Women’s Multivitamin
Male Fertility, because conception involves two people, also available in a His & Hers bundle
Teas and a bedtime treat
If you’d prefer to start with something gentler, MyOva makes a range of botanical teas: Hormonal Balance, Fertility Support, Pre + Post Menstrual and Digestive Support. A sample bundle lets you try them first.
The newest addition is the Magnesium Nightcap (from £10), a chocolate drink you can have hot or as a chilled milkshake. Magnesium contributes to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue and to normal psychological function, and the drink is designed as a calming evening ritual for all women.
Where to start
If you’re unsure which product suits you, MyOva’s online health quiz asks a few questions about your symptoms and goals and then recommends products. You also get a discount on your first order. The website has a free library of hormonal health guides, and the brand runs The PCOS Collective, a Facebook community where women share their experiences.
Supplements work best as part of a routine. Most people take them daily for at least a few months before deciding whether something is making a difference.
