One Tribe Arrives at Wolf & Badger, and Natural Skincare Gets Serious

The British botanical brand nominated for this year’s Vogue Beauty Awards takes its first step into bricks-and-mortar, and makes the case that “natural” and “effective” no longer have to be a trade-off.

There was a time when choosing natural skincare meant making a quiet compromise. You got the clean ingredient list, the recyclable jar, the warm feeling of buying well. What you didn’t always get was results. The serums were gentle and the creams smelled like a herb garden, and somewhere at the back of the bathroom cabinet, the clinical heavy-hitters stayed on standby.

One Tribe was built to end that arrangement. This month the London-founded brand lands at Wolf & Badger, its first physical retail home, and a clear sign that a new kind of natural luxury has outgrown its niche.

A founder with something to prove

Ewa Tomiak started One Tribe with a single, slightly defiant question: what could natural skincare actually achieve if it stopped apologising for itself? Her answer pairs botanicals drawn from Native American plant traditions with modern formulation science. The plants are chosen for what they do; the science makes sure they do it well.

For Tomiak, the move to Wolf & Badger is less a retail milestone than a statement of intent. She says she is delighted to see the brand join the marketplace, explaining that the ambition from day one was to push natural skincare further: to take the strength of those botanicals, combine it with modern science, and create formulas that are mindful and natural, but “genuinely highly effective.”

That last phrase is the whole point. Efficacy is the word natural beauty has long struggled to claim, and One Tribe is claiming it.

The awards season debut

The industry has noticed. One Tribe is in the running at the Vogue Beauty Awards 2026, and has been named Best Emerging Botanical Skincare Brand 2026 (UK) in Global Health & Pharma Magazine’s Global Excellence Awards. For a brand still in its emerging chapter, that’s a remarkable run, and it arrives just as shoppers grow more sceptical of vague “clean” claims and more interested in what a product will actually do for their skin.

The edit: from first light to lights out

The collection reads like a ritual rather than a product list. Each step is named for the plant at its heart, and together they map out a complete day.

Morning

It begins with the Sage Toner (£59), a purifying first step designed to detox and soothe while keeping irritation to a minimum. It’s the one for dull, tired skin, leaving the complexion fresh, tightened and ready for whatever comes next.

Next comes the Sweet Grass Day Serum (£87), the brightener of the line. It’s built to boost radiance and hydration, and the promise is a smooth, naturally flushed finish that lasts all day: skin that looks like you slept well, even if you didn’t.

Then seal it all in with the Sweet Grass Day Cream SPF30 (£105), arguably the collection’s most compelling proposition. It combines a botanical blend with SPF30 protection in a lightweight formula the brand says absorbs quickly and leaves no white cast, just a silky, fresh finish. Anyone who has battled a chalky natural sunscreen will understand why that matters.

The targeted step

The Witch Hazel Eye Cream (£77) focuses on the delicate eye contour. One Tribe positions it as a brightening, refreshing treatment that targets puffiness, fine lines and redness while delivering lasting moisture: a small pot doing the job of a full night’s sleep.

Evening

After dark, the routine turns restorative. The Cedar Night Serum (£94) works with skin’s overnight repair cycle, hydrating deeply and visibly refining pores so the complexion looks smoother and renewed by morning.

Layer it under the Cedar Night Cream (£94), a rich, nourishing finish that targets wrinkles while calming irritation and breakouts. It’s a rare night cream that suits skin which is both ageing and reactive. The reward is a velvety-soft, healthy glow at sunrise.

The power player

Then there’s the Carnauba Retinol Cream (£77), the collection’s most active treatment and the clearest sign of One Tribe’s ambitions. Retinol is the gold standard for smoothing and resurfacing, but it’s notorious for redness and flaking. Here it’s positioned as an intensive “microlifting” treatment that refines texture, minimises the look of pores and restores radiance, with the brand emphasising visible results and minimal irritation. If you’ve written off retinol as too harsh, this is the one to try.

Luxury that doesn’t cost the earth

The thinking runs right through to the packaging. One Tribe has developed its own ethical, sustainable packaging, designed so that the environmental conscience never comes at the expense of the unboxing moment. It’s weighty, considered and beautiful on a shelf, without the guilt that usually comes with it.

Every formula is vegan and cruelty-free, and the brand’s commitments reach beyond the bathroom. One Tribe supports PETA’s animal welfare work and the Pachamama Alliance, which works alongside Indigenous communities in the Ecuadorian Amazon. It’s a philosophy the brand calls mindful modern luxury: beauty that respects the natural world it borrows from.

Why Wolf & Badger fits

If there’s a natural home for a brand like this, it’s Wolf & Badger. The B Corp-certified marketplace champions more than 2,000 independent labels worldwide, curated for craftsmanship, quality and conscious production. Beauty sits alongside jewellery, fashion and homeware made by people who care how things are made.

For One Tribe, the platform opens a door to exactly the shopper it was created for: someone who reads ingredient lists, supports independent makers, and refuses to believe that doing good and looking good are mutually exclusive.

Where to find it

One Tribe is now available in person at Wolf & Badger’s London store, the brand’s first physical stockist, and online worldwide at wolfandbadger.com. The full collection is also available at onetribecosmetics.com, with prices from £59 to £105. Follow along at @onetribecosmetics.
