Artisan textile designer Jan Constantine has launched a new collection inspired by the East

The Chinoiserie Collection features cushions and throws in Jan’s signature hand-embroidered style. Inspired by Japanese paintings, traditional Chinese porcelain and hand-painted wallpapers of centuries gone by, the Chinoiserie Collection brings together traditional Oriental motifs with a contemporary touch.

A colour palette of blush pink and deep green dominates, while smatterings of black and cream make up the detailing.

Jan said: “This has been in the making for a long time and the result is one of my favourite collections to date. I have always loved the Chinoiserie-style of decoration and wanted to create my own version that paid homage to this giant of the interiors world.”

The collection features 15 cushions and a throw. Each piece has been hand-embroidered by artisans using traditional techniques, passed down through generations.

The cushions are designed to command attention, whether used as a set or alone, while the stunning throw features The Willow Pattern in the centre with delicate cherry blossom foliage in each corner.

Like all previous collections from Jan Constantine, these pieces are destined to become heirlooms of the future.
